New Jersey Area

We came out of the covid quarantine with 7 groups standing the test of being confined to zoom and also dealing with low attendance when meetings first opened up. During those times some groups had a zoom of their own, some combined for a zoom, and we had 2 zoom H&I meetings. Coming into late 2021 as groups started to open we rallied and made a strong push to reestablish an active district. We did so by creating structured guidelines, encouraging new folks to become involved in service work and put a big focus on establishing active committees. Since 2022 we have had 10 new groups open up, district committees meet regularly on their own, and our H&I has grown from the 2 zoom meetings to about 20 per week. With a few exceptions New Jersey has operated independently from Area, we host our own events, have always made our own contributions directly to World as a district and even a few groups do so. All this in preparation to be well established before submitting our petition to be ratified as an Area at the 2026 World Service Conference.
